The next chapter
GTA VI follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos after a score goes wrong and draws them into a wider criminal conspiracy across Leonida. Vice City is one part of that state rather than the whole setting. Rockstar lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the scheduled November 19, 2026 release; no PC date appears on the official game page reviewed on October 20.
What has changed this month
The October launch trailer did not change the date or console list. It connected the campaign to Justice’s original score and the official soundtrack rollout. Rockstar’s music hub also previews six stations and confirms that podcasts are part of the audio offering. Those are meaningful additions, but neither source supplies a complete station list or new platform announcement.
How this guide adds value
Our timeline records the event date, the source, and the later date when we reviewed it. The evidence tracker separates primary-source facts from expectations and superseded claims. This avoids a common problem with long-running game coverage: an old headline can remain accurate as history while becoming wrong as present-day buying advice.
The purchase facts
Standard and Ultimate editions are available for the announced consoles. Rockstar Support says boxed copies contain a digital download code rather than a disc, and that preloading begins November 12 at local midnight. PlayStation buyers should match the code region to their platform account; pricing, taxes, and refund rules depend on the store and location.
What remains unknown
Rockstar has not published a PC date or PC system requirements on the official GTA VI page. A trailer shot also cannot confirm map dimensions, performance modes, mission structure, or an online launch plan. We keep those questions open rather than filling gaps with predictions borrowed from earlier Rockstar releases.
Follow the evidence
Each confirmed item links to a primary source wherever one exists. Reports from established outlets can appear in our monitoring queue, but they do not become confirmed facts until Rockstar, Take-Two, or a platform holder publishes supporting information. Corrections change the page text and the reviewed date so readers can see that the guide is maintained.
