Our editorial standard
Confirmed means a primary source supports the claim. Rumored means unconfirmed speculation. Debunked means evidence contradicts a specific claim; lack of confirmation alone is not a debunk.
Source monitoring and human publication
An automated monitor watches Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, PlayStation Blog, Xbox Wire, Video Games Chronicle, Eurogamer, and IGN so the editorial queue does not miss a relevant development. Monitored headlines are not published as GTA Updates articles by themselves. A site article requires original context, a status decision, direct source links, and a manual review date.
Corrections and updates
When a newer primary source changes a fact, we update the relevant guide, preserve the old milestone in the timeline, and change the visible review date. A correction does not silently convert an old date into a new one. This lets readers understand both the current answer and why an earlier article may say something different.
What we do not publish
We do not turn every social post, frame-by-frame observation, retailer placeholder, or anonymous claim into a standalone article. We also avoid rewritten versions of another outlet’s reporting. A third-party report is used only when it contributes necessary evidence, and its unconfirmed status remains visible until a primary source supports it.
